I personally like to talk a walk or bath when I am feeling stressed. Sometimes I will meditate or just talk to my husband about my day or ask for advice on how to solve the cause of my stress if possible.

Take time to observe your children when needed, but always be involved in activities and really try to bond with your children as they need that social interaction or room for growth as they themselves are still growing.

I would start by showing them the classroom and all the activities I have planned for the day they visit, go over all the safety plans for the drills throughout the year and remind them that the children go through these drills various times throughout the year.

I would talk to my supervisor and see what she thinks would be the best step to take forward for the child, report it if needed and make sure that child is getting the help they need to build healthy relationships and the ability to grow as an individual.

My biggest worry about keeping children safe is the unpredictability of the people and weather in the generation we live in.

<strong style=”background-color: var(–bb-content-background-color); font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; color: var(–bb-body-text-color);”>My advice is to always communicate in a positive direction. You may have some issues or frustrations at times with the family or child in the classroom but always making sure to communicate effectively and keep the communication in a positive direction will be my biggest tip.

  • Creative ways I would use to engage the children would be to use real-world examples they have experienced and make sure to give each child the opportunity to share their ideas or thoughts on the example. When reading a story for example I will ask silly questions or some more brain-inducing questions as I read along. When we are outside I will ask them to tell me the weather at the time and their favorite part about being outside. Asking the children questions that give them the opportunity to grow and expand as an individual and as a whole is an essential part of what I hope to achieve as a teacher.

Always involving the children when creating the schedules, including snacks, and suggestions from parents or even other coworkers would be beneficial. Make the schedule in advance and always make sure to inform parents of activities you plan that require the child to use messy stain possibility materials.

The biggest components of a good early learning environment are being nurturing, having positive communication with everyone including other staff, and teamwork in and out of the classroom.

When communicating with a parent about the development screening of their child always remember to remain positive and stay specific. You want to tell the parents the facts and only if necessary to the child’s development some opinions on what needs to be done to help their child. I personally would create a guideline of all the child’s milestones and slowly move the conversation into what the child needs to create a healthy, helpful and positive learning experience.

  • Observing and documenting a child’s development will help early learning providers find a foundation for each child in their care. Each child will learn differently and they will all need a unique way of teaching. If you observe your children you will learn how they need to be taught, not how you want to teach necessarily. Documenting your child’s development will only help you remember each unique technique you used and if it helped or hurt the child’s learning ability.

I like the use of screen time in my classroom as it gives me ideas, and time to plan for the next activity and it involves them in something I would not be able to teach in a classroom like showing real-world examples. The maximum screen time I agree with however is at most one hour.
