We have a feeling chart, emotional pictures, and books that talk about our feelings to help our students identify their feelings. Sharing circle to listen to each student how they are feeling today. I like to greet them when they arrive and give my attention and care to them while they wash their hands. At table time or free choice, I will find some students and play with them for about 5-10 minutes. Snack time is also a great time to social with kids. Yes, staff can come back to refer to it when we encounter situations. It can maintain the consistency. It also provides guidelines so that families can see how we deal with incidents.

I like music and body movement. According to the theme I like to pick fun books, select a song with movement, and play some easy games. Sign language, a few magic tricks can also get kids engaged in learning.

I like to do hand-washing songs when they are washing their hands. I do activities like healthy choices of snacks with Hungry Caterpillar books and games. We also teach about going to the bathroom, potty, wiping, flushing, and washing our hands.

We have teachers gather together and decide. Our main focus is child-led play time, therefore we make sure free choice and outdoor play time are around 45 minutes. We add snack time and circle time around it. Each day we like to have a special circle, there are music, science, yoga and small group time.

Children-size furniture, open shelves for toys, and school routines are presented with pictures or photos. Bathroom habit reminders like toilet, wipe, flush and wash. Teachers smile and warm care.

Approach a parent by saying how great their kids are and what strength we have seen in their children. However, you did notice some examples that might show they have developmental delays. Since you are not an expert in that field, recommend the resources to do the screening. Tell them the benefit of intervening early and how can that help their children.

You can know where they are at in their development. Then based on that you can design suitable activities and plan to help and support their development.

I agree with no screen time for children at childcare centers. There are many activities that don’t require a screen. My school setting is 3-5 years old preschoolers. They don’t have strong academic needs to use screens to help with learning the alphabet or math. Save the screen time when parents want to for their children at home.

I felt I do serve and return mostly during self-play. I would sit down and play with a kid at table time for a few minutes, or during heart’s desire, I would walk around and stay for a few minutes and play with some kids. One-on-one attention makes kids very happy also we get to know what they like and how they play with others.

Letting the families know that their child really misses them when they are at school. It is important that you pick them up on time. It boots their self-esteem and confidence that they know their families will always come back. It also helps with the staff to clean the class and close up for the day.
