To keep the rules engaging I think you should draw visual pictures or create body movements that go along with the rules you create. I also think it is important to have them repeat and review a list of classroom rules.

Songs and music are often used to make cleanliness lessons fun for the kids. Children are often encouraged to sing a song as they wash their hands to make sure they are washing their hands long enough. Picture books are also fun to show the children.

You can help children recognize their emotions by giving them the opportunity to talking about their feelings, listening to their problems, or even have an emotional face chart that children can use to show how they are feeling. You can try to use self regulating techniques such as deep breaths to control their responses.

When you start feeling compassion fatigue it is important that you have someone you trust to talk to that you can vent to about your stress. I think it is also important to do stress relieving activities such as journaling, reading, or meditating.

Some examples of responsive exchanges you can use with children may include ask how their weekends were, responding positively when they ask you questions, showing interest when they talk to you, and clapping when someone does something good.

To release stress I like to take some deep breaths to calm down, make time for myself, and treat myself occasionally.

I would tell early learning providers who want to build connections with the children to not be afraid to approach the child and ask them an interesting questions. They should also make sure they respond to the child in a way that makes it obvious to the child that the provider is interested in what the child is saying.

I think the written guidance policies would be useful in scenarios where you maybe unsure how to redirect misbehavior or want to learn other ways to guide children other than punishments.

For a 2 month old infant, you should use a single level crib with a firm mattress with no gaps.

To create a developmentally appropriate, fun, and physically active classroom I think it would be a good idea to use music to encourage the children to move around and dance. You could also do fun outdoor games such as tag or have fun toys such as balls outside.

You can make healthy habits fun by creating fun rhymes or songs to teach children healthy habit. Like you could do a fun song while washing hands to make sure the kids wash their hand long enough. Or you can create games or activities that make learning about healthy habits fun and engaging.

If I were giving a prospective parent a tour through the program, I would highlight the first aid kits in the classrooms, the emergency exits and plans, as well as the cleaning procedures. To make sure the parents know that this is a very prepared, safe, and clean environment for their children.

If I suspected child abuse or neglect, I would go to my supervisor and explain my reasons behind my suspicions and tell them that we should go through the process of reporting the suspected child abuse. I also would like to the child just to ask how have they been and make sure they are not in any immediate danger.

My biggest worry about keeping children healthy and safe is thinking what if I make a mistake. I really do not want to harm any children and sometimes I am scared I might do something on accident that may harm a child.
